The Council funds a children's cinema in the Institute,
films are screened on a Saturday.

Short Films

The Community Cinema Group has been provided with short films that carry no royalty charges.
These films will be used by the Community Cinema Group
at centres, halls, sheltered accommodation housing complexes, etc for all ages and groups.

 

Any group may apply, Old age, W.I.'s, Townswomen’s Guilds, Historical Societies,
Gardening Clubs, Housing Groups etc.

This film service will be FREE OF CHARGE other than our transport costs to venues.
This cost will be based on distance to travel.

SHOW TIMES

These will be by appointment, please contact our Secretary to discuss your needs with him.

FILM SHOW DURATION

All films provided will be from about three minutes to thirty five minutes in length,
the whole show being about 45 minutes long. The whole show will be about 45 minutes in duration.
An adjustment as to times can be made on the day to meet the group’s needs.

ANY OTHER INFORMATION

Hall size and blackout requirements will need to be covered by our Group
prior to this service, again this will need to be covered with our Secretary

1.                  Apologies for absence.

2.                  To receive declarations of personal interest from Members in accordance with the
Council’s Code of Conduct.

3.                  Election of Mayor.

4.                  To receive the Mayor’s Declaration of Acceptance of Office.

5.                  Election of Deputy Mayor.

6.                  To fix the amount of the Mayor’s Allowance in pursuant of Section 34(5) of the Local Government Act 1972.

7.                  To appoint Members to serve on the undermentioned committees:

(a)               Finance Committee;

(b)               Estates and Development Committee;

(c)               “Picnic in the Park” Committee.

(d)               Welsh Language Working Group.

8.                  To appoint representatives to serve on the following bodies:

(a)               Swansea Area Committee of One Voice Wales.

9.                  To fix the dates and times of ordinary meetings of the Council for the ensuing year.

10.             To consider vacancies for three Town Councillors.

11.             To receive and consider the minutes of the Council meeting held on the 3rd April 2008 enclosed).

12.             To receive and consider the minutes of the Special Council Meeting held on the 21st April 2008

13.             To receive and consider the minutes of the “Picnic in the Park” Committee meeting held
on the 29h April 2008

14.             To answer questions from Councillors (notice of any question having been given to the person to whom it is addressed before the meeting begins).

15.             To receive and consider reports from the Clerk:

(a)               Correspondence.

16.             To receive and consider reports from the Mayor.

17.             To receive and consider reports from representatives on outside bodies.

18.             To consider the Welsh Assembly Government’s statutory guidance
